The Heritage of the Hunt

5 6.jpg

Founded on a deep respect for the unique landscapes of the American Midwest, Northstar Whitetails was born from a passion for the pursuit of trophy whitetails and wild turkeys. Our property was formerly hunted on by renowned outdoorsman Jay Gregory, and the first episodes of his hunting show were filmed right here. Nestled on an incredible 80-acre property between Hamilton (Quilt Town USA) and Kingston, Missouri, we're conveniently located just one hour from Kansas City International Airport. What truly sets Northstar Whitetails apart is the surrounding land. With approximately 2,000 acres of neighboring habitat where virtually no one hunts, our property offers an exceptional environment for mature whitetails and thriving turkey populations. We provide an unforgettable hunting experience for those who appreciate the silence of daybreak, the excitement of pursuing trophy whitetails, and the unforgettable sound of a gobbling tom on a spring morning.

At Northstar Whitetails, we also have a special passion for making hunting accessible to children with disabilities. We strive to create a welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere where every child has the opportunity to fulfill their dream of harvesting a great whitetail or turkey.

As a small, family-operated outfitter, we intentionally keep our hunts personal. Every aspect of your experience, from property management and stand placement to in-field transportation, lodging, and home-cooked meals—is carefully planned to provide the highest quality hunt possible. To ensure every guest receives the attention and experience they deserve, we accommodate only two hunters per hunt. Family members and friends are always welcome to join the adventure as observers, with accommodations for up to three additional guests.

Our commitment is simple: to provide an unmatched hunting experience while preserving the integrity of the land for generations to come.

Meet the Founder

Colonel (Ret.) Pete A. Wojciechowski

Colonel (Ret.) Pete A. Wojciechowski dedicated over 41 years of distinguished service to the United States Air Force before turning his full focus to another lifelong passion — land stewardship & Midwest whitetail hunting. Born in Southampton, New York, Pete enlisted in the Air Force in 1981, serving four years on active duty before continuing his career in the Air Force Reserve. Rising through the ranks to Colonel, he led large maintenance operations, commanded multiple units, and deployed numerous times in support of Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and Noble Eagle. Pete built his career on discipline, integrity, precision & commitment — values that now shape everything at Northstar Whitetails.

After decades of service, Pete & his wife, Victoria, invested their
hearts into their 80-acre farm in Kingston, Missouri — Northstar
Farms. What began as a personal passion for deer and turkey
management evolved into Northstar Whitetails, a premier Midwest
hunting experience rooted in ethical harvest, habitat management,
and quality deer stewardship.
Pete approaches wildlife management the same way he approached
military leadership — with intentional planning, attention to detail, and
a long-term vision. His land is carefully managed to support healthy
whitetail populations, mature bucks, and thriving turkey habitat.
Hunters who visit Northstar aren’t just booking a hunt — they’re
stepping onto land that is respected, maintained, and thoughtfully
developed year-round.

At Northstar Whitetails, you’ll find more than just great hunting —
you’ll find leadership, integrity, and a commitment to excellence
forged over four decades of military service
